Our Amazing Staff
Angel House has an amazing Tanzanian staff responsible for the day-to-day operations of the orphanage as well as help with other ministry projects including the new school construction. The staff is totally invested in transforming the people around them so their community can also be transformed.
Anna’s Story
Anna, the supervisor at Angel House, is an amazing woman. She was married off by her family at the age of 13 when her formal education ended. Anna had several children and worked hauling water for 20 cents a bucket to support her family. Eventually she found waiting on tables at a hotel. This is where her life intersected with Grass Roots Ministries..
Anna was hired in 2004 to care for the Angel House children. With no administrative training or knowledge of English, Anna learned English, accepted many responsibilities at Angel House, and now supervises a staff of 10 staff and over 45 children. She also serves as a translator for the missionaries and is the Angel House liaison to the community.In her spare time she leads a local women’s group.
Anna’s success is an example of the type of hope Grass Roots Ministries want to instill in the hearts of the Angel House children as well as the people in the community.
